Dubai, United Arab Emirates; 15 March 2020: In light of recent developments associated with COVID-19, the Dubai International Financial Centre (DIFC) Courts confirms that, at present, normal opening hours will remain in place, subject to change. Over the next few weeks, we ask all practitioners and court users to avoid, where possible, “walk in” visits.
Hearings
All hearings will proceed onsite at the DIFC Courts, as scheduled. To the extent that a judge or counsel is located overseas, the DIFC Courts is increasing utilisation of its extensive video-conferencing and tele-conferencing facilities, as part of the UAE Government’s commitment to effectively employ advanced technologies and digital platforms to serve members of the public.
