We have an exciting new vacancy for Accountant role.
As an Accountant you will be assisting in providing daily accounting transaction, reports and prepare all accounts transaction in manner as per the accounting rule and laws and internal standards.
The responsibilities would include but not limited to:
- Maintain financial records in compliance with accepted policies and procedures.
- Post all transactions and ensure that they are authorized, documented and classified.
- Review and Account sales transactions then reconcile the same with bank statement. Monitor and Follow up on accounts receivable.
- Prepare bank reconciliation on a monthly basis and other month-end activities.
- Update the system as per internal and external audit requirements; Assist auditors with information required.
- Monitors and handles transactions related to DIFCC escrow fund bank accounts under the supervision of the Finance Manager/Assistant Manager.
- Meet accounts commitments in an accurate and timely manner alongside Service Support Centre.
- Coordinate with Service Support Centre in periodic reconciliation of sales (for DIFCC) and payable (for all) records in order to ensure accuracy.
- Handles petty cash fund transactions, replenishment and reconciliation.
- Review judges expense claims for complete supporting documents submitted and the validity of the expenses being claimed based on the agreements.
- Assist in month-end and year-end book closing with Service Support Centre.
- Support in VAT quarterly reporting.
- Support in preparation of fund transfers.
- Prepare any accounting reports as required in an accurate and timely manner; ensure accurate and appropriate recording and analysis of cash inflow, outflow and management.
- Provide statistical analysis of financial data as needed from a variety of sources; as and when required.
- Provide statistical analysis of case data provided as needed from Registry as a monthly requirement.
To be considered for this role ideally you would have:
- A Bachelor Degree graduate in Accounting/Finance/Commerce/Business Administration;
- Excellent command of English language
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in Accounting field
